Feasibility Testing & Remediation (Phase III)
Stratus has conducted hundreds of feasibility evaluations and pilot tests to identify and evaluate remedial alternatives prior to full scale design and implementation. We don’t believe that one single technology exists to remedy every type of contaminant condition. Proper analysis and selection of a remedial technology eliminates project inefficiencies. We also believe feasibility evaluations should be conducted when it is in the best interest of all parties, and when the solution addresses relevant and cost-effective issues.
In unique situations that dictate modification to standard “off the shelf” technologies, we have both the engineering personnel and technicians capable of properly designing modifications to match the situation and testing required.
Stratus maintains a pool of equipment and operators to test commonly used remedial technologies, and we sustain relationships with subcontractors for less common equipment. In executing testing events, Stratus strategically coordinates all aspects of the execution (i.e., work plans, agency approvals, permitting, utility services, waste management, and laboratory coordination) in the most timely and cost-effective manner.
As a complement to our site assessment and investigation services, Stratus also provides comprehensive design and remediation services for private as well as public clients. Our professional engineers have completed hundreds of remediation projects ranging from simple excavation to the design and implementation of sophisticated treatment systems.
Through our experience, we have learned that no two sites are alike. Stratus’ approach is to evaluate each project on a case-by-case basis. First, we must fully understand the project and problem statement, including site background and history, as well as research and evaluate any previous investigations and/or remedial activities performed on the subject property, if applicable. By accomplishing this, Stratus can apply cost-effective and innovative approaches to streamline the remedial actions and reduce or eliminate rework.
Stratus works closely with its clients and the regulatory agencies, if applicable, to evaluate problems and identify solutions that are not only technically sound and cost effective, but that also fit within the specified budget, schedule, and the intended land use needs.
